About: Alex is a graduate of Cherry Creek High School and now attends Stanford University, where he is majoring in Human Biology with a focus in health policy and minoring in Economics. Outside the classroom he is a student leader for Stanford Pre-Orientation Trips (SPOT), a program that takes hundreds of incoming Stanford freshman backpacking prior to the start of each school year. While at Cherry Creek, Alex scored a 2320 on the SAT (740 Critical Reading, 800 Math, 780 Writing), received a 5 on 11 AP tests, was vice-president of Excalibur, played varsity soccer his junior and senior years, and graduated in the top one percent of his class. As an officer of National Honor Society, a member of Spanish Honor Society, and Sports Editor of The Union Street Journal (Creek's student-run newspaper), Alex has been tutoring and advising younger students for years. When not helping his students beat standardized tests, Alex enjoys reading Hunter S. Thompson, playing any type of sport, and spending time in the mountains.
