About: Ameya Pathare currently studies Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering at the University of Pennsylvania where he is a leader for the environmental pre-orientation program PennGreen and a member of the South Asian dance team Penn Dhamaka. Ameya graduated from Hamilton High School in 2009 with High Honors and Distinction with a GPA of 4.6881 (4.0 unweighted). While in high school, Ameya participated in debate, Model United Nations, National Honor Society, and We the People. He was an AP Scholar with Distinction, an All-Tribune Scholar, and a recipient of the National Merit Scholarship. Ameya received a 2390 on the SAT (800 math, 800 critical reading, 790 writing), a perfect 800 on his Math II SAT subject test, and a perfect 800 on his Chemistry SAT subject test. Prior to joining Ivy Insiders, Ameya tutored his peers in Math, Chemistry, Physics, and SATs, and last summer, he taught chemistry classes at Arizona Elite Academy. When not helping his Ivy Insiders students beat the SAT, Ameya enjoys snowboarding and playing poker.
