Major: Psychology, Sociology

About: Ariel attends Cornell University's College of Arts and Sciences, where she writes for the Asian/Asian-American sociopolitical journal "Parallax" and performs as a member of the Illuminations traditional Chinese dance troupe. She received a 2320 on the SAT (800 Critical Reading, 800 Writing, 720 Math) and graduated with an honors diploma from Townsend Harris High School. There, she served as a Mentor Leader as well as Co-Editor-in-Chief of the student newspaper and Vice-President of the National Honor Society. As a Mentor Leader, Ariel supported her peers as both a guide and an empathetic listener; on the newspaper, she trained staff members for the next Editorial Board. Additionally, she was a National Merit Finalist and inducted into the Archon community service honor society, and she received several other scholarships and awards. Prior to joining Ivy Insiders, Ariel interned at a local newspaper and volunteered at a senior center. When she's not helping students ace the SAT, Ariel enjoys leisurely bike rides, trying new bubble tea flavors, and listening to country music.
