Position Summary.

The Regional Manager position is an opportunity to learn executive-level management skills by orchestrating the launch and growth of 15 to 20 Ivy Insiders college prep branches. Regional Managers set the strategic agenda for their branches, serve as mentors to up to 20 first-time entrepreneurs, and manage top-line businesses likely to exceed $200,000. Given the unique responsibilities and leadership required of the RM position, the selection process is highly competitive. Please take some time to provide short answers (200 words) to the following questions.

Motivation

Why do you want to be a Regional Manager?

Management

Region Managers will be responsible for mentoring and managing roughly 20 Branch Managers.
Please describe your experiences with leadership that have prepared you for this role.

Fiscal Responsibility

RMs will approve major BM expenses, allocate scarce financial resources among Branch Managers (direct mailing budgets, etc), and award discretionary bonuses.
Please describe why you feel you can handle this type of responsibility.

Mentorship

RM development will be the Chief Operating Officer’s main priority during the summer, achieved through weekly mentoring sessions. A willingness to learn and grow will be imperative for an RM to succeed.
