About: Gilad began teaching for Ivy Insiders in 2007 as a sophomore at Columbia University. This past May, he graduated magna cum laude with a degree in American History and was selected to the Phi Beta Kappa society. While a student at Westfield High School in Westfield, New Jersey, where he scored a 2380 on the SAT and a 5 on four AP exams, Gilad won the National Council of Teachers of English Achievement Award in Writing and came in first place in the National French Exam. Now that he's graduated, Gilad is pursuing a career as a jazz saxophonist and preparing to study for a PhD in Linguistics. When he's not practicing the sax or reading about generative syntax, he can be found searching for New York City's best Chinese food or honing his own cooking skills through exhaustive study of PBS chef Jacques Pepin -- and, of course, helping his Ivy Insiders students master the SAT!
