Bio:
Annie is a sophomore at Brown University in the 8-year combined BA/MD PLME with a concentration in Human Biology. Outside of class she volunteers as a Brown Arts Mentor, participates in Brown Tae Kwon Do, and advises freshman as a Meiklejohn Peer Advisor. Annie graduated from Monta Vista High School with a 4.0 GPA, scored a 2380 on the SAT (800 Critical Reading, 780 Math, 800 Writing), achieved 5's on 9 AP exams, and served as president of Japanese National Honor Society and Monta Vista Future Business Leaders of America. Annie has always had a passion for teaching, and has tutored students in subjects including Pre-Calculus, Literature, and Japanese. When she's not helping her Ivy Insiders students outsmart the SAT, Annie enjoys playing tennis, cooking, and blogging about food. View Bio Page |

Bio:
Sofia is an undergraduate at the University of Pennsylvania where she is double majoring in Molecular Biology and Health & Societies. Sofia graduated at the top of her class at Monta Vista High School where she was an elected Associated Student Body officer, a two-sport athlete, and section editor of El Valedor yearbook. She scored a 2250 on the SAT and performed exceptionally in Math IIC, Biology, and Chinese Language SAT IIs. In high school, Sofia was also a National Merit Scholarship Finalist and Vice President of Spanish Honor Society. Prior to joining Ivy Insiders, Sofia worked as a private tutor in Geometry, Spanish, and Biology. When she is not studying or working as a tutor for Ivy Insiders, Sofia enjoys running in a natural environment, catching up on Survivor and NCIS episodes, and trying out new dessert recipes in her beloved kitchen. Bio:
Tarun is a student at Dartmouth College where he is double majoring in Economics and English. On campus, he sings and co-captains Dartmouth's premier South Asian American a-capella group 'Taal,' edits and manages the business side of Dartmouth Law Journal, and debates for the the Dartmouth Parliamentary Debate Team. Tarun graduated from Monta Vista High School in 2009 where he was Captain of the Debate team, Founder and President of the French Debate League, and a Commissioner of the Link-Crew Mentorship Program. Tarun performed in the 99th percentile on all sections of the SAT, receiving a 2290 on the SAT (with an 800 in Critical Reading). In his senior year, he spent hours tutoring students on how to beat the SAT by setting up his own mini boot-camp. When he isn't working for Ivy Insiders, Tarun is most often found in the basketball gym -- still trying, desperately to fulfill that dream of playing in the NBA. View Bio Page |
